Well, it is hard to deny this is a strange time we are living through. Due to the effects of this past week’s atmospheric river over our province and the flooding that has followed, please be advised that Recycle BC has determined the need for a temporary suspension on the collection of all glass and styrofoam packaging.
Effective immediately, we will be pausing in our collection of these materials. We and our friends at Recycle BC kindly request that you hold onto your glass and styrofoam packaging until such time that collections and transport can resume as normal for the recycling of these materials. Please know that everyone is eager to get things up and operating as soon as possible.
Many thanks to our community members for your understanding of these exceptional circumstances we are working within. Our thoughts are with those living in our province who’s lives have been deeply impacted by these weather changes.
