Thank you for your patience while we have been awaiting word of when we will once again be permitted to collect styrofoam packaging from the community. Effective December 31st the collection of styrofoam packaging at GIRR will resume.
This is typically a ‘packaging heavy’ time of year, and with this in mind we ask that if you have amassed a large amount of styrofoam since collections were suspended, please consider bringing it in smaller loads over your next few visits rather than all at once. This will make it easier on our staff to manage and also help to reduce our storage requirements.
As always, your patience and cooperation is much appreciated while we work together to resolve the current challenges in our recycling chain.
